What DentyJet does
When you send a request through this site, we pass it to a service partner that provides remote dental billing support. They contact you to learn about your practice, software and payers, then send a written proposal. Nothing is agreed until you accept it.
The work covers the insurance side of the revenue cycle: claim submission and scrubbing, follow-up on open claims, denials and appeals, eligibility and benefits checks, and payment posting. It happens inside your systems, under procedures you approve.
How a dental billing engagement works
- You describe your practice and the problem through the quote form.
- A specialist asks for aging totals, a sample of denials and your software details.
- You receive a written proposal with scope, reporting and terms.
- A business associate agreement is signed and named accounts are set up.
- Work starts on an agreed daily and weekly routine, with a regular report.
Who does what
- The dentist decides what treatment was done and which codes describe it, and approves clinical narratives.
- The owner or office manager sets fee schedules and write-off and collection policy, and approves exceptions.
- The billing team submits, follows up, posts and reports, and raises anything that needs a decision.
HIPAA requirements for a dental billing vendor
A dental practice that bills electronically is generally a HIPAA covered entity, and a billing vendor handling patient information for it is a business associate. That means a signed business associate agreement before any access. Practices to ask about:
- Individual logins, never a shared front-desk password.
- Multi-factor authentication on the practice management system, clearinghouse and portals where available.
- No patient data on personal devices, email or personal cloud storage.
- Access removed promptly when someone leaves or the engagement ends.
- A clear process for reporting a suspected breach to the practice.
Questions to ask any dental billing provider
- Which practice management systems and clearinghouses does the team already work in?
- What does the weekly report show, and who reviews it with you?
- How are claims near a timely filing limit flagged?
- What happens to your data and access if the engagement ends?
What this site is not
We are not a dental practice, payer, coding authority or law firm. These pages describe common billing workflows so you can plan and ask good questions. They are not legal, coding or compliance advice.
